What can Jaapi integrate with? +
Jaapi connects to your identity and HR stack in three ways: single sign-on (SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, Google, Microsoft), SCIM 2.0 user provisioning from identity providers like Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Rippling, and HRIS sync with platforms like Workday, BambooHR, Personio, and HiBob. SSO is available on all plans.
What is the difference between SCIM and HRIS sync? +
SCIM provisioning handles identity — it creates, updates, and deactivates store users as people join and leave, and is the cleanest option if that is all you need. HRIS sync carries richer HR data (hire date, department, location, budget tier), so it can also drive credit distribution and gifting rules. Many customers run both: SSO plus SCIM for authentication and provisioning, and an HRIS sync for credit logic. They do not conflict.
Do I need engineering resources to set up an integration? +
For SSO and SCIM provisioning, no — your IT administrator configures everything self-serve using a token generated in your store settings. For HRIS sync, your HR systems admin builds a scheduled export and Jaapi maps the columns and credit rules during onboarding. Most integrations are live within a working week.
Are Jaapi integrations secure? +
Yes. All provisioning requests are authenticated with store-scoped Bearer tokens over HTTPS, new accounts are validated against your allowed email domain, and every action is written to an audit trail. Jaapi AB is ISO 27001:2022 certified with EU-hosted data and is GDPR compliant.
